Analog style instruments for PERSEUS and PowerSDR
BobMeters is a CAT Software collection specifically designed for PERSEUS and PowerSDR to add classic feel to these SDR radios.
BobMeters is for PowerSDR only, it adds a selectable analog instrument as S-meter, Power output, SWR and ALC, Input Voltage and Temperature, for the transceivers series FLEX-5000A and FLEX-3000.

How they works ?
BobMeters uses a Virtual COM port to connect your radio software
and, using the CAT protocoll , they acquire the parameters.
Enter the Setup, configure your ports and press Start
What do you need ?
A Vcom driver software as N8VB, VSPE or com0com, PERSEUS
or PowerSDR running and configured on a valid VCom.
Can works with other software at the same time?
Yes, they can works with any software as LOG which needs a CAT
connection, using VSPE in splitter configuration.
Bobmeters are tested with: Windows XP-SP3 , VISTA Ultimate SP1
and WINDOWS 7

BobSmeter: analog CAT S-meter for PERSEUS
First software of BobMeters series is an analog '70 era style analog S-meter for PERSEUS. Like the famous BobCAT it can be superimposed on the window of Perseus or place in a free part of the desktop.
Again, like BobCAT the same function buttons and CAT structure, if you are familiar with BobCat will not have any problem to use it: configure the Vcom port and press START.
BobSmeter has two skins available: WHITE or AMBER glass

Second software of BobMeters series is an analog '70 era style analog S-meter for PowerSDR: the "engine" of FLEX-5000A FLEX-3000 and FLEX-1500 transceivers by FlexRadio Systems.
BobSmeter-Flex uses CAT protocol to read the "S" value of received signal of RX1 or RX2 (FLEX-5000A with RX2 only).
Reading may display normal or average:
normal = real time as in DTSP
average = smooth as traditional analog Smeter
You can run two instances of the program to display two separate Smeter: one for RX1 and one for RX2.
Two small green LEDs indicate on which receiver is active the Smeter
A Virtual Serial Ports Emulator with function splitter (as VSPE) is
required to work properly because both the Smeters uses the same Vcom for CAT.
